Calculate antenna visibilities

We will create here a timeline of Antenna to Satellite visibilities.

• Open the Antennas scenario pane and select two antennas for calculation.
• Select two or three satellites on the Satellites scenario pane
• Select the desired simulation time window, for example a window of 24 hours
• Generate calculation of visibilities via menu Visibilities / Antenna to satellite.

This will trigger the calculation, which will result in a collection of visibility events displayed on the Gantt View and listed in the Report View.

Open the Gantt view to show the visibilities timeline, organised hierarchically. You may select whether grouping by antennas or grouping by satellites

Minimum elevation

The calculation will take into account a default elevation mask with minimum elevation requirement for AOS and for LOS. This is set globally for all antennas in Edit / Properties .../Antennas / Properties

In addition, it is possible to define a separate default elevation mask individually for each antenna using the Elevation constraint.

The calculation will also account for the antenna horizon mask if defined. The horizon mask is defined as a semicolon separated list of [Azimuth, Elevation] pairs, in degrees. There are no constraints on the number of pairs, their ordering and their relative spacing. For example:
