Conical

A conical sensor has a field of view based on pure line of sight within the defined incidence angle (conical aperture). Conical sensors may be useful to calculate contact opportunities with ground targets for applications like Sat-AIS.

To define a conical sensor just create a copy of a regular sensor and convert it to Conical in the Swath properties grid by changing the Field of View Operation Mode.

Define the Conical Aperture as the incidence angle on ground at the edge of the cone (angle "i" in the figure below). Avoid selecting values above 85 degrees.
