Cost models

Every sensor has an optional Cost Model definition which will allow to calculate the cost of each acquisition.

The cost of an acquisition is estimated according to the following formula:

COST = number_of_frames * cost_per_frame + total_swath_sqkm * cost_per_sqkm + total_duration_in_seconds * cost_per_second

The monetary units are undefined and left to the arbitrary judgement of the user.

Usually the user defines one criteria only and leaves the other criteria as zero.

The cost appears in the swaths details pane, and on the report view.

The cost can be plotted on the Gantt view as individual cost and as cumulative cost
