Wide View

In Wide View mode the satellite will steer along-track and cross-track to obtain two or more acquisitions of the target area, effectively obtaining a wider swath coverage from a narrower beam.

The sequencing of the side-by-side adjacent data takes will be planned in accordance with the satellite attitude capabilities, respecting the slewing speed, acceleration and stabilization times.

The Sensor Wizard allows to define two additional parameters:

  • Looks: maximum number of side-by-side data takes that will be taken. The orbit and sensor geometry, will define already a maximum achievable number of looks, but it might be desirable to set a lower maximum.

  • Overlap: Set the overlap between side-by-side adjacent data takes

IMPORTANT: the satellite needs to be agile, to allow both along-track and cross-track steering. This requires setting the satellite attitude:
