Default time boundaries
Default time boundaries are used to produce times and periods in the toolbar when creating scenarios and when starting the application.
The properties dialog box is displayed by choosing Properties from the Edit menu.
By choosing the Environment > Time from the list of items in the dialog box left menu (see Diagram 1) various time boundary options can be modified.
- Start time and End time: You can set values for the current scenario start and end dates / times.
- Default time window: The initial interval of time to be used upon SaVoir start-up to set the scenario start (usually the start-up time) and end times.
- Persistent time window: Instead of setting the time boundaries from the start-up time (the default), use the values from the previous session.
- Week of year offsett: it allows to define the number of this year's days in the first week of the year. The value should be between 1 (default) and 7 (full week). As a result the calendars will show the week number according to the criteria chosen by the user. This setting will result in defining the week number 1 of the year, which could be the week that contains 1st of January, or the first complete week in the year.
- Round to day: Rather than using the start-up time, round the times to use the day boundary (i.e. 00:00:00).
- Time format : You can choose the date and time format to display date and times.
- Show local time : You can display the local date and time in addition to the UTC time in the upper left corner.
- Time zone: define the time zone for the local time shown.
Note: If you have chosen to save values from one session
to another (i.e. Persistent Time Window), the Time Period is not used on start-up.
